October AIA – Indianapolis Program
| This presentation will examine the work and influence of Avriel Shull, a designer, builder, and developer who helped introduce residential modernism to Central Indiana from the 1950s through the 1970s. Participants will explore how Shull’s approach differed from the traditional homes and conventional ranch-style developments common in the region, and how her work reflected changing ideas about domestic life, materials, and the relationship between indoor and outdoor space. |
